HE Zakaryya Adam is a member of the Parliament of Cambodia and serves as a member of the Commission on Education, Youth, Sport, Religious Affairs,
Culture and Tourism. He previously held the position of Secretary of State in the Ministry of Cults and Religions. In addition to his government service, he serves as Vice President of the Highest Council for Islamic Religious Affairs, Vice President of the Cambodian Muslim Development Foundation (CMDF), General Secretary for the Cambodian Islamic Centre (CIC), and as a director of Cambodian Islamic Voice Radio. Adam has translated the Qur’an and other Islamic books from Arabic into Khmer. He is also the author of a Melayu-Khmer dictionary.
